Course objectives

The course aims to introduce the student to:
a) acquire the elements of the neurological examination and of the approach to a neuropsychiatric child
b) know the different diagnostic procedures and differential diagnosis to most common neuropsychiatric disorders


Prerequisites

Student will acquire the theoretical notions of neurology and pediatric neuropsychiatry

Teaching methods

The course is based on the student's participation in the management of outpatient activities, DH, in the preparation of the outpatient activity, in the collection of anamnesis, in the interpretation of the exams already carried out, in the visit and in the diagnostic and therapeutic choices, through the figure of a tutor who will follow the student step-by-step in guiding him in every step of his training activity.

Assessment methods

The verification of the achievement of the training topics will be outlined by the tutors during the path of the professional activities themselves, evaluating both the knowledge of the topics covered and the clinical capacity achieved by the students following the activity itself.

The course will be carried out at the NPI Unit, as in the ward of the same as in the outpatient clinic
