Our mission is to understand the plasticity mechanisms occurring in the pentapartite synapse and their corruption during neurological disorders, leading to maladaptive plasticity and neurodegeneration in animal models of peripheral nerve injury and glioblastoma multiforme. 

We have adapted behavioral assays involving motor performance, thermal, and pain perception.

The behavioral tests are coupled with Spatio-temporal analysis and a variety of techniques including non invasive stimulation, histological staining, immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization, in-vivo two-photon imaging, confocal microscopy, and molecular biology to identify hubs that can be targeted to drive the system biology toward the health and recovery of function.
